We have created and developed our own versions of Whatsapp, Uber, Just Eat and eBay. We’ve made them better and then merged them into one beautifully designed app. On February 19, 2014 Facebook announced it was acquiring WhatsApp for US$19 Billion, Bo Bendtsen brought out all shareholders of Just Eat for $5.5 Billion, Uber now has a market valuation of over $48 Billon and in 2017 Ebay had a turnover of $9.9 Billion. All of these tech companies have two things in common, they all have millions of dollars at their disposal and all have brands and profits which they have to protect.
My legacy and something that would give back to the world; so I decided to add a dedicated charity element to Yappero. In June 2018, I came up with the slogan, “Changing the world, one message at a time.” Once this was trademarked, I then began the journey to design the various elements of the app. This slogan is the backbone to Yappero – it gives us a massive USP over any of the tech giants in the industry. Our business model is focused on giving back to selected charities, it means we offer something that none of the larger names in the industry can compete with, making us a serious threat to them.
The business plan for Yappero is to create a product that not only has the ability to be sustainable and a profitable tech business; but also has the viable potential to attract buyers within the first 6-12 months of launch, if this is the route that is decided best for our shareholders and investors.
We are looking to raise £1m within the next 3 months, this will enable us to correctly take this product to market and to ensure logistically and financially, we are in a position to make this concept a success. The key to making Yappero successful is the marketing and this is where most our money will be spent. Due to running my own Digital Marketing company, I am lucky enough to have already made some fantastic celebrity contacts. They would be willing to help promote Yappero via social media, therefore getting an initial userbase is not an issue. To get Yappero into the mainstream, we need TV, we need radio and we need Google and Premium social media campaigns to make it known and make it part of everyday life.
